S1E44 -From Asimov to Comedy Central ft. Art Bell

Episode Notes
This week we talk to the founder of the Comedy Central network that we all know and love. We talk about his love of SciFi growing up. His love of Asimov and Bradbury, to the start of Star Trek when he was in the 7th grade. We go onto to talk about how he went from working at HBO to dreaming of an all day comedy station just like the all day news and sports stations. He talks about how that happened and how Comedy Central helped bring about a little show called Mystery Science Theater ... maybe you've heard of it? Art also has a memoir of his time at HBO and the creation of Comedy Central called - "Constant Comedy, How I started Comedy Central and lost my sense of Humor"
